Let’s talk about food baby. Or, more specifically, about the first ever Annual Food Festival held last November.
l partnered with @haveyoueatenhere_ke for this foodie event, and a few others to come so keep an eye out for those 🙂 Here’s how it worked: anyone attending bought a ticket at Kshs 1000 (about $10) for entry, which entitled you to free samples from the many restaurants that participated. If you decided to have a full meal, you’d have to pay for it – but don’t worry, everything there was really affordable and really yummy.
If you follow me on instagram, you got a first look at what went down – the food in all its glory. Yes, it was last year but it’s the first one, so there will be another this year.
So it’s definitely something to look forward to. I shot a vlog from the day so watch and subscribe! Loots more on my youtube channel 🙂
In other news, I’m soooo excited about Nairobi Restaurant Week! I’ll be partnering with Haveyoueatenhere for that as well, and I can’t wait to show you a few amazing places to eat in Nairobi. On the menu I’ve chosen is cheese cake and apple pie – two things I’ve never had but I’m dying to try. And some far fancier things ofcourse, such as:
- Pork chops with pepper
Served with garlic nutmeg mashed potatoes.
- Pan Fried Fillet of Red Snapper with herb and garlic butter with Jasmine Rice accompanied with Vegetable Medley
- Beef Stroganoff
Buttered noodles, topped with sliced beef in a garlic mushroom cream sauce.
- 7 Hours Braised Lamb Leg
Caramelized potato gnocchi, minted gardenpeas puree, sweet spices, red wine, red onions.
And these are just some of the main dish options. Don’t they sound heavenly? Great way to break my fast ( .. 21 days, another story another day ..) The price (between $15-$25) comes with a starter and dessert, so I plan to
get fat indulge in the best way. As always, thanks for dropping by! 😙💋
