Hey guys! We’ve talked about staycations before, but I’ll recap for any newbees out there. A staycation is the opposite of a vacation – it’s where you stay in town and find a fun activity to do instead of travelling out of town.
I’d love to be able to go somewhere new each month, but there are times when other commitments are more important. So I believe in making the most of being home, from having an amazing home to live in to finding something so fun to do in the neighbourhood.
So my dear friend Susan and I decided to go horseriding! We went to Archis Ranch, got lost on our way there so arrived a little late but we made it. I wore my pleather tights with knee length leather boots because I read that the chaffing you get from riding can be harsh. The button down denim shirt was a casual yet chic add on that I though tied it up together nicely 🙂
However, since we were late, we didn’t get a chance to explore much of the ranch itself before we hopped on our horses. Susan rode Richard, a big beautiful horse with a white strip down his face that made me think of Prince charming for some reason lol. I rode Survivor, a smaller horse who I couldn’t control to save my life lol but who was really quite gentle with me.
We’re both total newbies at this so our guide – Salim – had to keep a close eye on us so we wouldn’t just wander off, but it was amazing. We just galloped along through a forest, along a winding path that led to an opening where we ran for some time which was pretty cool.
As always, thanks for dropping by :)😙😙
