So I’m head over heels about this denim jumpsuit I thrifted a while back. It’s baggy, so it’s unbelievably comfortable yet dressy enough to wear to something semi-fancy, like a nice lunch. Which, btw, I need to do more of, if I ever find the time. Working girl problems, am I right?
Problem is, it’s preety hard to photograph. Being baggy and all. It’s actually a lot larger than it seems, but I styled it with a belt beneath the fold to make it a little more wearable.
And paired with my red square bag to dress it up a bit, and heels because everything looks better with heels, yes? I was excited to get this shoot done because the sun was out just enough to brighten up my pictures without blowing them out completely.
So I was excited, but I think I’ve gotten to the point with my photography where my current set up just doesn’t cut it anymore. I’m still using my stock lens (16-50mm) and the image quality zoomed in makes me cringe 😵😵 Which is why I plan to finally take the leap and get a 50mm! Yes, it will be a 1.8 for anyone wondering 🙂 I’m not ready to rob a bank for the 1.4 just yet lol.
From my research, the Sony version of this nifty fifty offers great quality – at a higher price than its Canon/Nikon counterparts, but still well worth the price. I’m excited to take the next step in my photography, because I’ve gotten the hang of photographing fashion blog posts and I can’t wait to start offering my services to any bloggers in need 😀 With the improved lens ofcourse.
So stay tuned for a lot of upgrades happening here in the near future. Last week I was named as one of the Top Ten Newest Fashion Bloggers in Kenya by Ghafla, and I can’t stop pinching myself 😄😄 So I’m even more motivated to go dotcom (one weekish and counting 😎😎) start a little bit of vlogging and get my lens at the end of the month.
So now we’re all caught up. You know what I’ve been up to, and you’ve heard my hopes and dreams for the coming month. What are yours? I’d love to get to know you in the comments below 👇👇 Thanks for dropping by! 👋👋
